me

After beginning my career in the finance industry I started to look for ways to build my skill set and increase my value as an employee. I began taking classes in data analytics, which led me to discover a passion for programming. Eventually I started dabbling in web development which prompted me to take the plunge and join a full time software development program. Upon finishing this program I would like to use the skills and knowledge I have gained to continue my career as a software developer.

UBS

  • Maintained statistical risk rating methodologies in Microsoft Excel to ensure that the UBS client base remained within a specific risk appetite
  • Interpreted and applied the UBS BSA/AML policy in regards to client onboardings and account reviews
  • Addressed escalations pertaining to CIP/CDD questions, negative news, reputational risk, politically exposed persons, and risk ratings
  • Assisted with responses to regulatory inquiries and assisted in remediation efforts pertaining to matters requiring attention (MRAs)

Projects

Waterlogged

As an avid fly fisherman I set out to create an application to make the lives of fly anglers easier. Waterlogged is a web application that allows users to log past fly fishing trips and plan future fly fishing trips. Users can log details such as name of the body of water, date, season, gear used, how the water was accessed, and upload photos. This project was built using React.js, JSON Server for persistent data storage, and Tachyons for styling.
